101st Airborne Division

On May the 5th 1944 the greatest combined army function was about to start. It was codenamed Operation Overlord, made up of over 5000 delivers, 160000 Troops, 24000 Paratroopers and a great number of Fast employees. The actual strike was divided into two stages, air strike and amphibious landings on five islands on the seacoast of Normandy. The First stage of the strike was performed by Paratroopers of the National, English, Canada and the Free France.

The purpose of the Para soldiers was to take key connects and installs behind attacker lines. Prior to the major air strike groups of Para army were decreased into Normandy in specific places to place mouth beacons in the drop-zones. This was so that aviators could find the correct decrease places to set up their soldiers in the major strike. Due to inadequate climate and anti-aircraft fire many of the beacons could not be placed as many places were bombarded or to to a great extent protected. Just after one fourth past night 6th May, six Horsa gliders holding 181 soldiers told by Major Bob Howard arrived within gardens of their purpose and with the element of amaze caught their joined focus on, Pegasus Connection. This was despite the continuous and risk and problems that were continuous.

The Goals of the National Para soldiers of the 82nd viral divided was to take Sainte-Mere-Eglise and secure the flanks of the approaching problems at Omaha hold'em and Ut islands. The 101st Airborne divided was to be decreased behind Ut seaside to secure the numerous leaves from the seaside. However, many of the National Para soldiers were decreased distance from their meant dz due to inadequate climate and extensive flak from In german anti-aircraft weapons beating the air.

Despite the madness of the skipped decrease places the Para soldiers cool in combined models of 82nd & 101st taking many of their objectives. At 02.00hrs RAF Bombers were making airfields on the south seacoast of Britain on path to blast many key objectives near the seaside minds to ease the In german defences. During the early hours of the first day the Allied soldiers continuous to take many of their objectives such as the English managing the Merville battery, a seaside fortification containing four 150mm weapons ignoring Blade seaside in the English area.

At 05.30hrs the allied navy warships start the putting the islands and seaside defences in planning for the amphibious troop landings.
